The Final Day

This could be the final day of installing the new FM antennas at Radio HRGS. Will everything work like it should? Stay tuned...  

Day one was a great day. We took down the old antennas and put the first new one up.

Tower Painting on Utila Part 2

The saga of our tower painting project is about to come to an end.  I'd like to show you how things turned out despite the rain storm that rolled through the area.  

The Resort Time Forgot

There is a very interesting land mark on the island of Utila.  It stands out prominently when you sail into Utila harbor.  I don't know the name of it, but it is The Resort Time Forgot.  Do you like a little mystery?  I have one for you.

I had the chance to travel to the nearby island of Utila recently.  Our AM tower was in need of a new paint job so I contracted with a painting crew and we went over to Utila.  This is the first part of our Utila Video Series.

How to Hang a Security Door

I learned some valuable lessons on How to Hang a Security Door, and feel compelled to share them with you. After thieves destroyed the previous security door we ordered a new one and then waited. Eventually the door came, but not only was it an inch too tall but it mounted on the inside of the building not the outside. Adaptation is a word that comes to mind.

Topical Construction

Blair Hindt, CEO, CFO and Owner of Total Lawn & Home Care came down to Roatan, Honduras to help Radio HRGS with some construction projects. You will not only see Blair in action, but also get a feel for what it is like to build something here in Honduras.

Break In At HRGS

Friday afternoon we received the bad news that thieves had broken in to our FM transmitter site. They cut the razor wire, crawled over the wall and under the electric fencing and then destroyed the security door on the transmitter building. They stole tools and some extra transmission cable. We are now in the process of re-securing the transmitter site.
